OUR MISSION
Living Jesus's radical love, welcoming all into life-changing faith and joyful service
-
Following Jesus' example of radical welcome, we embrace all people exactly as they are—regardless of age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, economic status, or background. We welcome your questions, doubts, and unique life experiences. You won't find perfection here, just real people building connections across generations and backgrounds. There's a place for you at Glendale Church.
-
We believe meaningful growth happens when we are honest about life's challenges and questions. You don't need to check your brain at the door or have everything figured out. Our discussions tackle real-world issues and explore how Jesus' life and teaching offer fresh perspectives on modern life. We nurture a deepening relationship with God through relevant worship, meaningful small groups, and a Christ-centered community. Your questions and doubts aren't just tolerated, they're respected as part of a healthy journey with Jesus.
-
Jesus taught us to love our neighbors as ourselves, a command we take seriously. We believe in connecting with our community. Through our food distribution, school partnerships, and community garden, we share what we have while also learning from our neighbors. Everyone has something valuable to contribute—ideas, time, skills, or simply friendship. When we work side by side with our community, we all grow stronger. The church doesn't just serve the neighborhood; the neighborhood helps shape and energize the church, too.
-
Like the early church, we believe in being responsive to our changing world. We approach challenges with creativity and a willingness to try new things. Our strength lies not in having the latest technology or trendiest programs but in our open minds and adaptable hearts. We honor our meaningful traditions while remaining flexible enough to meet today's needs in fresh ways. From small adjustments to occasional bold steps, we embrace change with thoughtfulness, joy, and a can-do spirit. Together, we discover meaningful ways to grow and respond to what our community needs most, proving that flexibility and faithfulness go hand in hand.
-
Life is serious enough! We believe church should add more laughter and light to your week. From our signature soup suppers and potlucks to our intergenerational celebrations, from our coffee group to our golfing group, we create spaces where genuine relationships flourish. At Glendale, laughter and friendship aren't just nice extras; they're spiritual practices that reflect God's joy in our midst. We celebrate God's goodness together, finding joy in both ordinary moments and special occasions.
