Glendale UMC will be volunteering with The Open Door Food Pantry
Next volunteer opportunity is August 13 at Eagle Ridge Middle School, located at 13955 Glendale Road, Savage, MN. The volunteer hours are from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
We have drivers to deliver food to clients who cannot travel to Eagle Ridge Middle School, and volunteers to help distribute food at the school. For more information, please contact Glendale at 952-894-5394.

There will be lawn games a plenty! Hot dogs for roasting + fixings and marshmallows for burning!
Tell all your friends and plan for an evening around Glendale's welcoming bonfire and try out Glendale's newest addition of picnic tables. Hope to see you there!
In case of rain we will be inside, we will still have hot dogs, s'mores, and games.
Join the Glendale Golfers for a delightful round of golf at Cleary Lake Golf Course. We play every Thursday at Cleary Lake Golf Course - 5:30 pm.

Please stay after worship service to join us in the fellowship hall for an exciting moment in our church’s journey. Our core team will be sharing our newly crafted mission statement and values - the foundational work that will guide our path forward and help us communicate who we are as a community.
This is also a joyful celebration of our identity! We’ll be taking a community photo together in front of the pride flag to commemorate our decision from earlier this summer and for our Reconciling Ministries page. This photo will be an important part of sharing our welcoming spirit with the broader community. You may want to wear your favorite pride clothes!
Your presence matters as we come together to celebrate this pivotal moment and set our goals for the future. This foundational work is essential to who we are becoming, and we want every voice to be part of it!

The Sunday/Funday Youth group is seeking clean glass jars of any size and broken crayons for an upcoming project.

We are celebrating Glendale UMC's 40th Anniversary!
Brothers and Sisters in Christ, you are invited to help us celebrate the 40th anniversary of Glendale United Methodist Church with your time, talents and treasures! We hope you will spend some time each Sunday in September with us.
We start the month with Bishop Lanette delivering a sermon on SEEDS OF FAITH as well as helping with the blessing of students and teachers. Pastor Brenda will share message of ROOTS & GROWTH as well as WEATHERING SEASONS. We conclude the month with Conference Superintendent WooJae’s words about the church being a HARVEST OF BLESSINGS.
Each Sunday you will have an opportunity to embrace your talents through a whole host of activities. You will also be blessed, in person or through video, by our past pastors.
Throughout the month of September, we are accepting donations from your treasures in ANY amount but believe $40, $400 or $4000 would be a fantastic way to bless Glendale’s ongoing ministries. Checks can be made out to Glendale United Methodist Church indicating 40th Anniversary in memo line.

September 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th - Celebrate Glendale's 40th anniversary with exciting events every Sunday throughout the month.
October 18th - Join us at the Savage Halloween Bash at Savage Sports Center from 5:00-8:00 PM. Look for opportunities to help at Glendale's booth.
October 31st - Participate in Trunk or Treat in Glendale's parking lot from 5:00-7:00 PM. Decorate your car and hand out treats, or team up with another family to welcome our neighbors.
November 27 - Attend the Community Thanksgiving at Glendale from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
