Ancient Wisdom for Everyday Life
We're always hunting for the hack, the shortcut, the trick that makes life run smoother. This fall, we're reaching for the oldest wisdom we have. Beginning September 13th, this four-week series borrows the well-loved framework of the Four Agreements and lets the letter of James shape it into a Christ-centered way of living marked by grace, humility, and honest words.

Glendale UMC will be volunteering with The Open Door Food Pantry
Next volunteer opportunity is October 14th at Eagle Ridge Middle School, located at 13955 Glendale Road, Savage, MN. The volunteer hours are from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
We have drivers to deliver food to clients who cannot travel to Eagle Ridge Middle School, and volunteers to help distribute food at the school. For more information, please contact Glendale at 952-894-5394.
Next Generation Community Director

What if your work could help a child or teenager know, deep down, that they are loved by God and have a place where they belong?
Glendale United Methodist Church is seeking a Next Generation Community Director to help children, youth, and families experience belonging, grow as disciples of Jesus, and discover their gifts for serving others.
This part-time, 15–20 hours per week position provides leadership for Glendale’s Next Generation ministries. For more details and how to apply, click on this link: Employment.
Parking Lot Update
Over the next few weeks, we’ll receive a special offering to reduce the amount we need to borrow for our parking lot repairs. To contribute, please write “parking lot” in your check’s memo line. Our giving goal for repayment is approximately $500 per week across the congregation, beyond regular giving. Any gifts received now will help reduce that ongoing need.
Thank you to our Trustees, Finance Committee, and everyone helping us care for this place and the people who gather here.
SAVE THE DATE! Church Clean-up, October 10th
Come help keep our church grounds in great shape! Our main focus will be taking care of the trees, but there will be many smaller projects as well besides general cleaning. We appreciate all the help we can get!
